With the rise of autonomous agents like Moltbot, rentahuman.ai caught my attention by challenging my assumptions about who is in charge. In this model, the AI acts as the project manager, handling strategy and logic.
But when the agent hits a physical barrier, it realises it doesn't have a body. So, it simply “rents” a human to act as its hands for the tasks that (for now) require a pulse and opposable thumbs.
The novelty isn’t that software automates tasks. It’s that software now coordinates humans directly. High-level intelligence lives in the software, while the human becomes the physical execution layer.
We are looking at a future where humans own autonomous agents and those agents become the managers that other humans work for.
The end of middle management?
